Rory Childers, professor of medicine at the University of Chicago, an internationally known authority on the movement of electrical impulses within the heart and the use of electrocardiograms, died Aug. 27 at Southampton Hospital in New York.
By examining several case studies plucked from recent headlines, Margaret M. Mitchell, AM'82, PhD'89, will explore the question of the proper role of the academic study of religion in relation to contemporary media coverage.
On May 12, 2014 the Chicago Economics Society affinity group hosted a panel of UChicago's best alumni macroeconomic investors on Wall Street for an evening of investment philosophy, top ideas, and stimulating debate at the New York Athletic Club.
